2 Pax posted this morning to scrape a little ice off of the old turtle shell. Turns out 2 is all you need to bust out a strong workout.

YHC has a few friends that are doing the CrossFit Open and so I’ve been getting the run down on the workouts. After seeing the first 2 workouts I felt like we could squeeze those together and make for a solid workout. So with a few modifications to the exercises that are not coupon friendly, here’s what I came up with:

10 Thrusters (Modified Thrusters for Dumbbell Snatches)
15 Box Jump Burpees
20 Thrusters
15 Box Jump Burpees
30 Thrusters
15 Box Jump Burpees
40 Thrusters

50-ft. Lunge Steps w/Coupon
16 Toes-to-bar

16 Chest-to-bar Pull Ups (modified C2B Pull Ups for Bar Muscle Ups)

* I pulled into the parking lot and saw Meatloaf’s truck. Glad to see him out at a BC. I know he’s been ready to get off the IR.
* Meatloaf asked an interesting question early on during the 1st set. He asked “where would you have gone if I had not posted”, and with a chuckle I responded” I’m not sure, but I surely wouldn’t have stayed here doing this”. And that’s when I realized it only takes 2 to create the push your need to get through a tough workout.
* The first set seemed to take forever, but every time the watch was checked you realized there would be plenty of time to finish this set and move to the next.
* Had to modify Toes to Bar because of Ice on the bars. So we decided to do Big Boy Sit-Ups and increase the reps up to 25.
* When we went to the 3rd round we made an attempt to try the Pull Ups since there would be as much swinging motion as there would have been with the toes to bar. We took our time here to be safe and to put in some solid work and that pushed us to recover time.
