F3 Greenwood

When YHC signed up for this Q, I wanted to challenge the PAX not only physically, but mentally as well.  Based on some of the groans heard and comments made, I’m thinking my plan worked.

Conditions – Clear skies, cooler, and temps around 70 degrees.  A crowd of 26 PAX were on hand to experience the bombing of the Ship.  We headed to the field and the PAX were instructed to circle up around the shovel flag.

DEVOTION:

Be grateful for blessings in our lives whether things are going good, not so good or just so-so.  Just this week I’ve heard about a number of PAX struggling with a variety of things, some just the normal rigors of life.  Personally, Monday was a stressful day for me, as I went for my 6 month check-up, which is always a trying time (results were great BTW).  But through the strength of a loving wife, a growing relationship with Jesus, daily quiet and prayer time, and the PAX that show up every morning, I am driven to be a better husband, father, son and brother mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

NMS:

  • YHC discreetly recruited PAX to attend today (right Meter and Buck?).  Looks like it worked.  Nice crowd.
  • Glad to see some veteran PAX back in the #gloom.
  • Lots of #mumblechatter early, especially during the brief warm-up.  That stopped when we got to the Thang.
  • But still a good bit of mumbling today (maybe it was complaining?) directed at YHC.  Guessing some of the PAX didn’t enjoy the number of reps involved.  Rumor has it that a few PAX discovered what 200 BB Sit-ups can do to one’s backside.  I think the term used was raw butt.
  • A few PAX mentioned that today was like RedFriday on Thursday, since YHC sleeps in on Friday’s.  Not sure about that, but we can always take time to remember those who sacrifice so much for us!

As always, it was an honor to Q for such a great group of men.  Until next time, Bean is out!
