Conditions: A nice, 66* summer morning
This morning was particularly special for me because I have been on the IR for quite a long time, and this was my first RunQ since I returned to the gloom. It was also special because my 2.0 Twizzler decided she wanted to join us for the weekly OutnBack from the Uptown Fountain. It was touch and go when I woke her up, but I was extremely proud that she decided to fight the urge to fartsack and joined us.
Disclaimer was given and we headed out for the 22.5 mins. out/22.5 mins. back run. Some went a bit early and almost everyone returned on time.

I’m not one to usually share a word during COT, but today I felt the urge to share my thoughts on the tragic loss of 50 lives the previous day in Orlando, FL. As many of my past students can attest, I have a tendency to ramble and repeat myself when speaking extemporaneously. That being said, in an effort to save those who were kind enough to listen to me this morning from having to read my rambling thoughts again, I will try to summarize as briefly as possible:
Love your neighbor. Even when it’s difficult to do. We cannot win people for Christ if they believe we hate them.

One lost sheep was missing when the PAX circled up and there was growing concern that he had not yet returned. Much to the relief of us all, he arrived with a story that is much too familiar to many who have taken part in the Monday morning run. We like to say that the mind can overcome the body, but there are a few instances where the body says “it’s time” and the mind can do nothing but to accept it and accommodate its demands as quickly as possible.
Be kind. Do good work. Keep in touch.
