Admittedly YHC was a little nervous about this Q. He had been Ehing and pumping up F3 to about 8 guys over the past 3 months. One, Hoser, he convinced to give it a try and now he was a regular when in town at Shipyard. But, the others , such a struggle. So, when three actually showed up , YHC knew it was time to deliver.
First of all, when the clock struck 6am, YHC felt with three FNGs and one who had only been there once before, a little history lesson was in order. So, a quick intro into the three F meanings and what purpose was . Then a brief discussion about the strong military ties F3 has and how Memorial day should not only be remembered for those lost in combat , but also the ones lost to society when they return. To remember what we can do to appreciate and encourage those , we did our 22 merkins first. Then , I told PAX and 3 FNGs to mosey on down to field , grab a coupon because I was giving them all a discount , and meet me around Shipyard flag, the flag which pulls new recruits in!

AMRAP-10 Alpo shrugs, 10 Thrusters, repeat,-run to top of stairs and back down. start over , two sets each at a time and then run interval——- to Runaway by BonJovi and Turn up the Radio by Autograph
Next 20 chest presses and 10 Vups, repeat set, then run to top of stairs and back and start over—to Talk Dirty to me by Poison and a crowd favorite Kick start my heart by Motley Crue
Last AMRAP in circle- 12 dips on coupon while alternating with partner doing Jungle boy squats, do two sets, run to stairs and back and repeat til time called to Still of the Night by white snake
Then we all mosied to goal line with coupon to begin Pusher’s mile challenge. Timer was set to 20 minutes. YHC told group this was a work out to push yourself , but also to get better . Did not matter if you sprinted , moseyed, or walked–just do the workout right. You will get better. You will run to 50 yard line. you will drop and do 10 big boy sit ups. you will run to other goal. you will do 15 merkins. you will run back to 50 and do 10 Vups. You will do 15 curls with coupon. then you will repeat this for 20 minutes till time called. Goal is to get as many 100 yards as you can . By my calculation 1700 yards or one mile was goal to shoot for. At 20 minutes time was called. One PAX, Judge Judy just made 1700 yards. Special K might have, but he was on other side so not sure. I think I might have made it, but as Q as zig zagged thru course encouraging all PAX they were doing good job and to keep it up. Would love to do this again with focus of making time. Did make sure I was doing all correctly with good form when I stopped. Got to about 1550 yards.
Told everyone to put coupons up and circle around flag. Time was 6:55. I had intentions of doing the merkin circle I had come up with, but since I had 3 FNGs and a devotion planned, asked veteran PAX if they would be OK if we started Namorama and got agreement.

Naked Moleskin:
-During Fantastic voyage, noticed Smokey doing slide step during SSH. showing off some dance moves? well, I could not let that go without response-during LBAC, I had to throw in a little of the Bird by Morris day. May be 49, but I can still shake a leg, Smokey!
-All these F3 names and dont know where they came from! kind of like Xmen origins, right? So I will enlighten you on three FNG names.
-Jason Bowen, SCRUB, well he is a regional sales manager for Landau uniforms and sells….scrubs
-Andy Hartung, HIPPA, is an IT specialist with Self Regional. Just got his Doctorate in hospital information, therefore the hippa -privacy portal act.
-Ken Doby,T-Rav, engineer for Eaton, originally from Charleston–home of thomas ravenell , the disgraced politician.
-Shaggy gave one of the most encouraging statements a PAX could give but one of the most disheartening statements a Q could hear—he said” Hey, guys, first boot camp where I didnt spill Merlot”. After a immediate Attaboy by YHC and gang, it dawned on me that I had just been dissed!
-good to see KY join gloom, his son and I traveled many a baseball game.
-Thanks to Judge Judy when i asked him to lower volume a little when I could not hear PAX give Cadence number. No thanks to Judge Judy to point out that I could hit the volume control myself if I wanted. I could hear Blueprint and Piddler snickering .
Devotion–if there are any F3 guys outside of Greenwood who read this, here is devotion for both the 13 PAX present and for all my F3 Greenwood Bros.
When we run into an impossible situation ,in a situation you dont have human strength to handle, we are tempted to simply give up and be defeated. Dont! instead shout “glory” because the word says Gods strength is about to be made perfect in you. In acts 14, Paul was stoned by a group of Jews and left for dead. His human power and strength could not save him. But the disciples gathered around him and prayed and the Lord raised him up. In other words when Paul didnt have the human strength to overcome, Gods miracle working power was sufficient for him. He was an overcomer in spite of his weakness. So, today if you are facing a health crisis, if your finances are out of control, If your family is falling apart or struggling, if you are bound to bad habits, then………..REJOICE! For when human strength ends, the power of God excels. Believe that God’s grace is sufficient for you. I then asked PAX if anyone had an unspoken need that they would like God to intervene in . I said myself first and then others joined in . So, we used the power of multiple people praying to lift each other up. I would like to extend that to the rest of the F3 Greenwood family–If anyone needs the power of God because we cant handle all of life’s hurdles, and it can be an unspoken request, then lets continue to lift each other up and believe Gods word is true.
