18 pax posted for a “still freakin too cold” OutNBack! Most ran L, other chose XL, & XXL.

Often times we find ourselves running along zoned out. We think about other things, anything, except running. What are the bills that still have to be paid? Who’s taking the kids and where tonight? Why can’t my ______ just understand that I didn’t mean for it to happen this way? Zoning out is a good thing, sometimes. But there is something to be said for living in the moment. Being in the now, embracing every step. Feeling the burn from the taxing work your lungs are being forced to perform. Feeling the violence of the air during each exhale. And then there’s the in between. Not quite enveloped by life and not quite so introspect you hear each heartbeat. Here is where things are noticed, random things. In this state of mind a purse could be caught in your periphery. What was that? That red thing doesn’t belong. Could it be someone discarded it? Should I stop and see? In this moment is when you should listen to Steve Miller and act like Refugee. In this moment, you should take the money and run!

17 pax circled up for a COT. “Where’s the 6?” was asked several times. 22 Merkins IC for Veteran suicide awareness were offered. Only during the NameOrama did he arrive. Cobains to YHC for leaving you hanging Thumper. Announcements were made. Prayers were taken, and then lifted to HIM for help. All got better on a Monday morning. And if you ever come across that choice again, remember to take the money and run!

It was a pleasure gentlemen!
