F3 Greenwood

YHC could only draw 10 PAX from the warmth of the #FartSack to embrace the suck of a super-generic, burpee-free workout. Those who took the #DRP will be grateful they did. Those who didn’t, well…

Today we learned that long-term planking while awaiting the six makes you better, but you can also get better by joining the six and helping them complete the work. We also learned that variety is the spice of life…and fun workouts. Here’s what we did:

The Thang

Mosey to random spot in the parking lot. Circle it up.

  • SSH x 60 IC
  • Merkins x 10 IC
  • Chaser LBCs x 40 IC

Mosey to playground. Partner up.

  • P1 – 5 pull-ups, 10 big boy dips on parallel bars
  • P2 – LBCs until P1 is finished
  • Flapjack
  • Rinse and Repeat for 10 minutes

Mosey to random spot in the grass.

  • SSH x 60 IC #CrowdPleaser
  • Merkins x 10 IC

Mosey to basketball court

  • 11’s – 10 squats, sprint to other end of court 1 merkin
  • Sprint back 9 squats sprint to other end 2 merkins
  • So on and so forth until you get to 1 squat and 10 merkins
  • Join in with the six to finish up the reps

Mosey to Gazebo

  • The Chipper #RealCrowdPleaser
  • Do 50 box jumps, 50 incline merkins, 50 dips
  • Then do 40 of each, 30 of each, 20 of each, 10 of each

  • Convergence and Q School on 1/16/16. One workout at the Epicenter 0630. Q School immediately afterward over breakfast at Howard’s.
  • F3Greenwood’s first #CSAUP is 3/21/16! Called #TheAssault, it is sure to challenge you! Check out the preblast here! The event is free, but we need to have a head count so register here! Tell everyone you know! Let’s make this a HUGE event and really put F3Greenwood on the F3Nation map!

NakedMan Moleskin

  • The SSH-fest was a real #CrowdPleaser. Especially for Meatloaf who absolutely loves that exercise.
  • The second round of SSH was a #RealCrowdPleaser. Capri gave us a 10-coutn calf stretch after that round.
  • Meatloaf commented that YHC was trying to bring Battle to the PAX since the PAX wouldn’t go to Battle. He did acknowledge that 11’s would be far too small a number for Battle.
  • #MumbleChatter was heavy during the first two rounds of the chipper at the gazebo. It was drastically reduced to silence as the PAX hit the round of the 30.
  • #TClaps to 8 Mile, Lite Brite and Pacer joining YHC in finishing the chipper before the time cap.
  • BlueBall only likes to post when we hit that particular chipper. His recollection of the last time YHC called this particular chipper was that it sucked. It didn’t disappoint on the second rendition.
  • The Epicenter is a well spring of great options for infusing workouts with a lot of variety. It occurred to YHC while planning today’s misery that he had become too stagnant and, thus, needed to tour the entire place and see what joy abounded. Much was found!
  • Totally irrelevant, but YHC has the movie Amadeus playing in the background as this backblast is tippity-tap-typed away.
  • Kobayashi and Meatloaf decided boot camp just wasn’t enough and ran 2.0 (or was it 2.4 or 2.8 miles) to #Coffeeteria. They even got a flyby from Uncle Jesse, Posh and Snake Eyes. For that trio, 2.anything is merely a warm-up jog. #PitterPatter
