Up/Down:

6 PAX posted (7 with the addition of Tweeter) at Terrapin got their week started off right.  Pusher was there and requested a warm-up so we did just that.  We also played 80s hair bands in his honor.  Work went like this:

Warmup- SSH * 25 IC

The Work

21/15/9 Rounds in Gazebo

All rounds of 21/15/9 included Merkins and Abs as exercises 2 and 3.  The first exercise was changed as below.  Early finishers calf raises for the 6.

Round 1 – Squats

Round 2 – Dips

Mosey up Charles Street, 10 burpees OYO, mosey back to Gazebo.

Round 3 – Box Jumps

Round 4 – Jungle Boi Squats

Mosey up to top of bridge.  It was on this mosey that YHC had a grand idea…Up/Downs.  When warming up for soccer games as a kid we would have someone call “Up” and “Down” as we made our way around the field.  On “Up” you jump as high as possible as if you were heading a soccer ball.  On “Down” you simply drag a hand to the ground.  This is done while moving forward throughout.  It was an interesting twist and really got us out of breath.  I estimate we did 10 of each.  Top of bridge – 10 burpees OYO.  Mosey back to Gazebo.

Round 5 – Bonnie Blairs (count right leg only)

At this point Tweeter had to head back to Fountain so we all ran together up to Pascal’s and completed Up/Downs on the way up.  10 Burpees OYO at top.  Mosey back to Gazebo.

Round 6 – Squats

Recover

COT/BOM

    Good work by everyone
Good to have Pusher with us, he is HC for Fury tomorrow.
    Foley continues to beast out
Dixie Chick stayed until recover was called.  He’s really taking this Nantan stuff seriously.
Quickie was my inspiration for the Up/Downs.  Dude was an incredible soccer player.  If i recall correctly he even scored a header in the 1994 state championship game.  We are still bitter about the outcome of that game.
BenGay continues to “ramp it up” by posted everywhere and every time.  He will be out of town the next two days, so an opportunity to make up ground, unless he posts in Florence.  Hmmm…..
