F3 Greenwood

YHC is posting this on behalf of Weaver who did a great job this morning on his VQ, the first of many Q’s. I believe a bootcamp VQ is in the near future as well. This is a great read and strikes at the heart of what F3 is all about men! Here’s what Weaver has to say.

A few weeks ago, YHC was introduced to the combination of Misty Mountain and West Cambridge Park Combo Hills route and decided this is better than the monotony of the Cambridge Bowl. Conditions on this first full day of Fall were much improved at 68 deg. and less humidity. The long hills offer a challenging run and several variations allow you to run a 5K or push it to 5 miles if you can handle it.

Most PAX have been on this route, but maybe not this combo. So to review….
Head up Main St. right onto Seaboard, rt. onto Phoenix down to the Index Journal. After the turn around head to W. Cambridge Park via the Manning downhill, up to the crest of the bridge, add the side spur for an extra hill then proceed back to the Index-Journal for a 2nd tour.
If time or stamina are restrictions, modify as needed. There are several streets after you tour the IJ for the 2nd time where you can cut back to the Fountainhead.

Disclaimer was given at 5:15am and 11 PAX headed out

NMM:
YHC was feeling somewhat anxious with the Q today after thinking back to my first F3 event on Friday, June 17th, it was a Hill Run and I could not even complete the route without walking several times. Also, the next Friday a week later was probably the worst day I had ever experienced with the tragic loss of my brother. Little did I know that plans were in the making for several PAX to reach out to me over the next several days. THAT, my friends has made all the difference in the world to me as I sit and write this exactly 3 months from that terrible moment. F3 Greenwood has supported and encouraged so many that I am proud to be a part of this group. Just 3 months ago I could not make it longer than 2 miles, nor would I have led any type of workout, and definitely not prayed out loud with a group of friends or strangers! I am a better man today and I thank GOD for what F3 Greenwood continues to do. Keep pushing each other to become better men, husbands, fathers, employees, and disciples of GOD.
