A group of 5 PAX got up and got better in the gloom.  The weather was eerie.  This morning felt like Summer compared to the 15 degrees that we had a few days ago.  It was actually a little difficult to adapt to the humidity after adapting to the freezing temperatures.  We honored Danish Army Sgt. René Brink Jakobsen who was killed in Afghanistan in 2013.  Click here for more info.

The Hero WOD Workout:

Rene:

7 rounds for time

  • 400 Meter Run
  • 21 Walking Lunges (count one leg)
  • 15 Pull-ups
  • 9 Burpees

Results:

Uncle Jessie – 28:36

Southern Bell – (DNF – but to be fair he had to leave just before he finished, but he was way ahead)

Juggernaut – 36:15

Tootsie Roll – 39:13

Quickie – 39:14

Just like my Q 2 weeks ago, Uncle Jessie broke the record listed on the Hero WOD sheet.  The time recorded on sheet was 31:28.  He beat that by over 3 minutes.

Announcements:

Saturday workout is 6:00 am at the Shipyard.

Prayer Request:

  • Continued to pray for the family in McCormick that lost loved ones.
  • Everyday walk for us PAX.  Many of use have everyday struggles as we go through life.

  • Great group of guys this morning that gave 100% effort.  The workout combined with the humidity had us completely gassed!
  • Great to have Juggernaut join us again for the REDFriday Workout!  I know that workout is one that he looks forward to.
  • Jugger wanted to invite anyone that is interested in Rucking on Wednesday to let him know.  They will leave from Starbucks at 5:00 for a 4 mile Ruck.

Until the next time, Tootsie Rollin out……..
