Red Friday, oh how I missed you last week.  So I decided to come back with fire in my eyes.  After some deliberation (Jugs sent me a solid Hero WOD as an idea), I decided to go with my initial feeling a make the call for Murph.  It’s been about 4 months since Memorial Day Murph, and I was anxious to give it a go again.  (3 times a year is probably a good rotation in my opinion).  We will save the WO Jugs suggested for another day.

For some variety, I decided to mix it up a bit and make the call that all PAX should complete the workout in the manner prescribed at the 2016 GF games.  So it went down like this.

Murph – 2016 CF Games Methodology

COT/BOM

  • Shout out to MM and Duggar for going with the vest.  Impressive!
  • Capri was making some interesting noises throughout the w/o
  • Good news – we had two speakers on the premises for music.  I thought for a second we were going to need both of them when a curious looking fellow infiltrated our space and started doing the strangest version of an incline merkin I’ve seen.  It seemed as if he was checking out our stuff on the bench next to him.  I think Duggar and I were on the same page mentally due to the fact that he announced loudly as he prepared to depart for the last mile, “hey, i’m leaving my stuff here!”.  I took that as code language for, “hey Jesse, watch my stuff!”
  • It got even more strange once our conversation switched to the new overtime rules set to go into effect on 12/1/16 (if you are not aware of this, you should be.)  Capri gave a very vocal and robust economic analysis on his opinions related to this.  Duggar interjected as well.  At one point, Sour tried to discretely give Capri the “tone it down, he can hear you” look due to our visitor listening in.  Capri was intentionally not having it and proceeded to deliver his point with utmost enthusiasm.  It was classic.
  • Finally, the highlight of the day had to be our discussion how we should not get discouraged when we see folks who are better than us at something.  We talked about this in relation to working out and quoting scripture.  Ultimately, it led us to the conclusion that if our job was to work out or in the clergy, of course we would be better.  Capri stated something to the effect of, “when I start feeling down about someone being better than me, I tell myself, “yeah, but I bet he can’t change a water pump.”  And with that, Red Friday had delivered yet again.

Great job gentlemen.
