7 PAX decided to get up on another morning with temps in the 20s and give Red Friday a whirl.  As usual, YHC put out a recruiting blitz the day prior to ensure ample PAX were in attendance to take on one of the more lengthy Hero workouts that we perform.

About Hamilton:

Results:

(Disclaimer; mistake made by me. I hit the “stop” button instead of the “lap” button when I finished so remaining times are estimated once we go the clock running again.  We estimated it was a 2 minute lag between my time and when Pacer finished)

Uncle Jesse – 39:49

Pacer – 42:07

Duggar 42:08

Flossy: 48.14

Meter: 51:03

Meatloaf: 51:36

COT/BOM

  • A lot of illnesses with PAX and family/friends.  Hope everyone gets better.
  • By the way, we shaved about 6 minutes off of the fastest time and 11 minutes off of the slowest time from when we last performed this workout in July 2016.  Good work fellas!
  • Great job by all in attendance.  Good to have a strong group of 7 to put in the work
  • I know three guys (Pacer, Meatloaf, and Flossy) are battling nagging injuries but they showed up and showed out.
  • Duggar continues to take his game to next level status.
  • Meter with a workman-like performance.  Every. Single. Time.  The dude amazes me.
  • I like to think I have an advantage performing pull-ups due to my stature.   That said, Sunshine is the opposite clocking in at over 6ft.  He was killing it though.  Great work.
  • After yesterday’s merkinfest at Shipyard, I knew this one might put a hurting on those folks who attended.
  • For those not in attendance.  Stop making excuses and show up to give Red Friday a try.  All work can be modified and is often modified by some of the PAX who generally would be considered the fittest in F3Greenwood.    I’ve always been a firm believer in the mantra of “can’t never could”.  Give it a try, otherwise you’ll stay right where you are.  Remember, for a lot of us, it wasn’t too long ago that the idea of running a mile seemed far fetched, but look at yourself now.  Keep upping your game or you will plateau.  Don’t get complacent.
