F3 Pizza Man out of Gastonia is a WOD machine. He probably does about 6-8 a week. Last week, he did the Chapman WOD and YHC banked it and today was the day to pull it out and 17 studs joined YHC this morning in the gloom. It looked like it might take the full time, so last night on Twitter Alpo spread the word to be on-time for a wheels-up time of 5:15.

Disclaimer was given at 5:14 as well as the background of the WOD.

Chapman WOD

This Hero workout is dedicated to Master Sgt. John A Chapman, US Air Force Combat Controller (Special Forces), who was killed in action in Afghanistan on march 4, 2002, during the Battle of Takur Gar. His actions during that battle would result in the Medal of Honor.

During the battle, MSgt. Chapman repeatedly exposed himself to hostile machine-gun fire while charging up a steep slope in knee-deep snow to eliminate the fortified enemy positions that his teammates pinned down. Despite receiving several gunshot and shrapnel wounds, MSgt. Chapman continued to engage the enemy in order to protect incoming helicopters, before eventually succumbing to his wounds. – (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oKMjTqdTYo)

    NMS

What a crowd. March Madness has brought out the numbers and it is awesome. Workouts are so much more fun and the mumblechatter is so much more entertaining. The challenge for all of us is to maintain the posting momentum into April and beyond. I believe we can do it.
James 1:19-21 says, “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.”

Until next time,

BenGay
