While memories of the IronPax challenge haunt our dreams, we look ahead for the next frightening endeavor that will push us past our perceived limits. That opportunity comes in the form of our next F3 Greenwood run/ruck challenge. Don’t be scared. Read on.
Let’s face it, We’ve all got a little voice in the back of our heads telling us why it would be better to fartsack than get up and run. That’s just your internal Zombie munching on your brain. It’s time to outrun the Zombie. Sign-up for the upcoming Blood & Guts Run and put that undead whisper to rest once and for all.
What is this?
Scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 5:15, The Blood & Guts Run is a PR/Goal challenge event. Pax will pick between a 5K (run or ruck) goal or a 5 Mile goal.
Is that it?
No, your running AOQ’s, Corncob and Piddler, have developed a plan to help you get faster before Oct. 31. Leading up to the race, each running AO will feature a Blood & Guts-tailored workout. Here’s an exercise-type breakdown for each week:
- Sunday: Distance Run (Starbucks)
- Monday: Recovery Run (Fountain)
- Wednesday: Speed Work (Starbucks)
- Friday: Hill Work (Fountain)
Training will kick-off on Wednesday, Sept. 5, with a redline event that will help you identify your starting point. After that, determine your race-day goal and complete your sign-up form.
Follow the prescribed plan, or develop your own plan. Just know that you’ll need to put in the work if you want to get faster. Make the commitment, partner up for accountability and execute the plan.
I don’t understand, can you say that again?
