Calling all men of F3 South Carolina. The race director for Stomp the Swamp, F3 Lexington’s own Kimye, has arranged for separate scoring for F3 Pax to allow us to host a F3 state championship. All Pax will still be included in the normal scoring and will be eligible for our much needed ego-boosting age group awards. The overall F3 winner will be crowned the first South Carolina F3 State 5K Champion and he will receive a unique trophy. For all of us normal Pax that can’t throw down sub 18 5Ks there will be a team competition between the regions. High school cross country scoring will be used for the team championship which means team sizes are unlimited. Each region’s top 5 finishers will be scored based on their finishing positions. The winning region will be given a perpetual trophy that will be passed on year to year to the winners.
Being men of F3 we always do the harder thing so it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that we will once again be hosting a convergence workout prior to the race. All other F3 Lexington AOs will be closed. We will meet at Crypt (first entrance, park in front lot) at 6:15. Your convergence Qs are Rocking Chair, Julep, Boucher and Quest. They have promised a leg-friendly workout and as always you can modify to fit your pre-race needs.
One of the most important aspects of this event is to show our support for River Bluff High School. River Bluff has allowed F3 nearly unfettered access to their state-of-the-art facilities and is the home for 5 AOs in our region. Without their support F3 Lexington would not have the success it does today. The proceeds from this race will directly benefit the River Bluff High School Men’s and Women’s cross country teams.
The race is family friendly with music provided by Call My DJ (Thumbs Up) and there will be a live video feed displayed on the Jumbotron of the start and finish of the race. A fitness expo will follow the race. Please be sure to visit the booths and support the sponsors.
