F3 Greenwood

A couple of weeks ago I came across a post from from someone gifting “pain sticks” to a new AO.  The pain sticks looked to be 2-3 ft long and filled with concrete.  This got me thinking about a nagging problem that has been discussed in F3 Greenwood about not having anything heavier than a coupon (30lbs approx).  Well the ol’engineering gears started turning and I calculated what those “pain sticks” might have weighed and it turns out that they are basically coupons in a different form.  So then an idea hit me to make them bigger to get them heavier.  Well on Memorial Day, after Murph, a trip to Lowe’s was finally in order to see what we could do about it.  That’s how the ThunderSticks came to be.  You can find them at Fury where they are waiting to be tested in new and horrible ways to torture the pax.  This was what took place on their first workout…….

NMM:

  • Some new ThunderSticks were created that weigh in at 47.4 lbs.  Time to add some extra weight to our routines.
  • Hibachi Hill isn’t just a run to the woods and back, it goes al the way down Fury Rd and back up to the light pole passed Nagoya, turn around and mosey back to the Prison Yard.  Then you can pat yourself on the back for traveling a mile.  Yay!
  • MaryAnne found the ant pile that was still angry from Inspector stepping on them on Tuesday.  The only difference was that MaryAnne was laying down doing Flutters when he realized it.
  • Pinto has come a long way in a short time.  This guy has Beast in Waiting written ALL over him.

It was another really productive day at Fury.  The small groups allow for opportunities for each of us to grow closer as friends.  The efforts are there and will be reaped by those that consistently post.  I’m honored and appreciative to be a apart of it.
