YHC thought it was going to be a little warmer today, but that was not the case. Temperature checked in at 33 degrees, with a slight breeze from the NW direction. It was an unusually late arriving crowd, disclaimer given several times and we left on an invigorating 1/2 mile jaunt to South State bank parking lot.
So, what we did was:
1/2 Mile run to South State bank parking lot.
In the parking lot we did a few squats, while waiting for everyone to arrive.
Then we did a set of 21-15-9
21 LBCs
15 hand release Merkins
9 Burpees
We then ran to M&M Tire and repeated the same 21-15-9
Then to started to Title Max, but when we got to the Montgomery Centre, YHC realized we need to stop there. We did, and repeated the 21-15-9
Next we headed to Title Max and repeated the same 21-15-9
A stop at Walgreens next, and another 21-15-9
Run down to Japanese Steak House for 21-15-9
A visit to the Chick-fil-a parking lot for 21-15-9
and After a turn up Fury Rd, the final parking lot stop and another repeat of the 21-15-9.
A brisk run to the pull-up bars was followed by the final repeat of:
21 LBCs.
15 Hand Release Merkins
9 Burpees.
81 burpees total
so we did 19 more to get to 100
Having no idea how long the tour would take, (YHC thought it would take longer) we ended the workout with some block work.
Three rounds (Starting at 25 reps each, and reducing the reps by 5 each round)
Kettle Bell swings
Overhead Presses
Alpos
Curls
50 Flutter kicks in cadence
Finished the workout off with a bunch of block presses in cadence. My counters let me down on these, not sure how many we did, probably around 60 or so.
Moseyed back to flag, counted, named, announced and prayed.
NMS: I know as pax hear it a lot, but Fury is indeed a different kind of animal. All workouts are challenging, but that extra 15 minutes- well you know what I mean. We had run a pretty fast 1/2 mile (at least for me it was pretty fast!), visited 2 parking lots and completed 2 sets of the 21-15-9 and Sugar made the comment, “at the other workouts the pax are just getting out of the car good.” I glanced at my phone, and it was 5:17am. Indeed a different animal.
My hopes of just YHC, Pusher, Mr. Bean and Alpo attending this morning so we could breakdown the 2018 college football season was dashed immediately as Bean and I pulled up and saw twitterless Inspector.
Bean’s record setting 5K yesterday didn’t come without paying a price. He was struggling with a tight hamstring throughout the morning. Bean and Pusher also shocked the world when they were the first to HC last night. And Congratulations Pusher for 2 posts at Fury this week. No congratulations to Polly though. Proud of Sour (my Teammate) and Unplugged for posting consistently since being drafted into the crazy world of March Madness.
As always, it was my pleasure to lead this group of men. And FYI, I don’t take anything.
Until tomorrow (Q at Red Friday) BabyBlu is out.
