I woke up this morning to the sound of rain and thought “what the heck was i thinking, asking Juggernaut to let me take his Q!” Fortunately that thought only lasted a few seconds and was over taken by the joy of working out with like minded men who push themselves to some physical limits.
The temp was 50ish and felt great!
Disclaimer at the minute mark then off to the “hill” area.
Fury has become a place that overlooks the traditional “warm-up” I have noticed. This morning was no different. We began…
5/10/15/20/25 in this numeric order.
Squat Thrusters,
Dips,
Goblet Squats,
Merkins
Pax noted in addition to the physical challenge, ascending in number brought a mental component to the challenge as well…
Indian Run to Junior (last pax in line completes 10 Merkins before sprinting to front of line).
Once at Junior: 10 LBCs at the bottom and 10 Burpees at the top. Pax completed 5 Rounds.
Run back to Shovel Flag at pax own pace.
Count-a-rama
Name-a-rama
Prayer: Remember 8 Mile fellas. For real. Bubba Fennell, and Rocky too.
NMM:
Uncle Jesse led the way as usual. I appreciate the unwavering push he gives to the Pax…always nice to have a target to try and keep up with.
Juggernaut shared with us when it was all over “Dang I’m glad i decided NOT to run before hand…”
There was LOTS of panting, the whole time. One pax noted it sounded like a maternity ward it was so bad at one point. Baltic (the FNG on site) who has been a part of Cross Fit and Gold’s Gym in his hometown of Austin, Tx for a while said he is just not used to the cardio. Never does that in these other outlets…and Junior kicked his butt. But it was a good thing.
Sour and Inspector never said a whole lot but never let up either. Redline to the end. All these men proved dedicated and determined. It was a good workout, #snottwoggler for sure.
AYE!
