8 pax (#Kotters Lite Brite!) posted to Fury for a little brick work. Flossy had the Q but scored some Final Four tickets so YHC volunteered to step in.

Sometimes workouts get into ruts of repeating the same things over and over again. YHC wanted something a little different, especially after it was announced there would be a little competition for the month between AOs. Additional points granted for #Kotters and FNGs. So YHC put the call out and was not at all disappointed!

Conditions were perfect (well, maybe a little on the muggy side) for a workout!

In “Freed to Lead,” OBT talks about the Third 500 of a rowing race. Each race is 2000 meters. The first 500 a man is fresh and can still see the starting line. The second 500 a man is still feeling strong and is still close enough to the start to see it. The final 500 a man can see the finish and gets a second wind. It’s in that third 500 where races are won and lost. It’s easy to lose focus. You canst see the starting line anymore and still too far away to see the finish line. So it is in life.

We paused to reflect on this during the 7x7x7 portion of the workout. We also got intentional about being grateful. During workouts where there is little change (like today’s), it can be difficult to remain focused. The goal was to work out our focus as well as our muscles. It appears that mission was accomplished.

NMS:

– The transvestites showed up and showed out again. No, not actual transvestites. That’s just a clever way of covering up YHC’s jealousy that those beasts can wear weight vests and still lead from the front.

– Speaking of beasts, it was good to have LiteBrite back out in the gloom. And, of course, he did what cyborgs do – crushed the workout without the first #MidwifeNoise escaping his lips.

– We often joke about what kind of friends bring an FNG to Fury. The last couple of weeks have seen Madoff and TootsieRoll make their initial post at Fury. Both were present again today and crushed the workout.

– It appears the Muslim Ban may be over as Refugee returned to Fury. Not sure if he can #MakeFuryGreatAgain, but he sure did give it his best shot.

– Apparently grip strength isn’t on Sour’s list of beach body exercises.

– As always men, it is a pleasure to lead such a fine group of #Disrupters!
