F3 Greenwood

YHC hadn’t had the opportunity to Q at Fury in awhile but always looks forward to the extra 15 minutes every time and hopes that this morning was worth it for the 8 PAX that posted. YHC was running a little late due to the morning “routine” taking a little longer than expected so YHC came rolling in hot on two wheels and had enough time to hide the keys and run to the group right at 5.

Diclaimer was given somewhere during the run up to the group and we jumped right in.

Warm-up

Mosey to the coupon pile and complete 10 burpees OYO when you get there. After the burpees secure a coupon and mosey to the grassy area and form a line facing the woodline.

The Thang

Assume a left foot forward lunge position and complete 10 OH press. Switch legs and do 10 more OH press. Do 5 bearkins out and do 20 smurfjacks. Do 5 bearkins back and do 20 KB swings. 5 bearkins back out for 20 more smurfjacks and 5 bearkins back in. Rinse and repeat two more times. Each time, reduce smurf jacks by 5.

Mosey to parking lot in front of the Genesis school and do 10 burpees OYO.

Curb merkin roulette

Do 10 right arm on the curb merkins and lunge walk across the parking lot. Do 10 left arm on the curb merkins and lunge walk across the parking lot. Do 10 both hands on the curb merkins and lunge walk back across. Do 10 feet on the curb merkins and lunge walk balk across. After finishing, complete 50 LBC’s. Rinse and repeat 2 more times.

Project Hope Triangle

We split into 2 groups of 4 PAX. PAX in front sprinted up the parking lot entrance of Project Hope, made a right hand turn in the parking lot sprinted across the front of the school, made a right hand turn down the other entrance, and then made a right hand turn on Fury Road back to where he started. While PAX was sprinting, the next PAX in line called out an ab exercise. Once all PAX sprinted one time each, 10 burpees OYO. Rinse and repeat one more time.

5 minutes to go so we circled up and did the following: 20 goblet squats, 30 curls, 10 incline merkins on the block, 40 tricep extensions. After these , recover was called and the blocks were returned.

-Continued healing for Papercut’s friend from surgery yesterday

-Steve Parker, Pacer’s friend, who is finished with chemo and will have tests on December 2nd to determine what the next course of treatment is.

-Great work put in by all. By my count, we did 295 merkins of some kind. When you intersperse them in the workouts, it doesn’t feel that much. YHC figured out a way to get bearcrawls in and YHC had more planned but we ran out of time. But, don’t worry, they’ll make an appearance at an AO near you in the near future.

-It’s always an honor to lead such a fine group of men as were at Fury this morning. The mumblechatter was minimal but the work rate was high. Kudos to Duggar for continuing to post even though he can’t do much of the workouts due to his injury but as he said he’s going to have the strongest core in Greenwood by the time this is done. YHC is sure we’ll all feel the smurfjacks and lunges tomorrow at RED.
