F3 Greenwood

This was the 2nd Sat FuryQ in a row for YHC.  A ton has changed at Fury since that last Q.  The lock went missing, the tires left town, the weights were relocated, ThunderSticks were introduced, the tires returned from vacay, a BattleChain was born, and Alpo turned another yera wiser.  It was incumbent upon me to take the time to let the pax from other AOs truly gain some enjoyment out of our special PrisonYard.  In an effort to drum up attendance and some gloomtime intensity, YHC sent a text out to Jugs about a Ruck preWorkout.  He was caught hook line and sinker and even managed to get Crash and Hulk to meet us at 0445 at Fury to begin.  We took a loop around some of the outskirts of Fury’s stomping grounds while making 5 spins up&down Junior.  It was just 40 lbs in a bookbag ….. what’s the big deal?  I’m hurting still to this day and we only traversed 3.5 miles.  After returning from our ruck, the bottom dropped out for about 5 mins, just before 0600.  The rain was intense, just like everything else at Fury, and it made us all wonder who was going to be the first to step back out into this monsoon to start the bootcamp.  The decision never had to be made.  The rain lessened to a mist at 0558 and this is what happened……

NakedManMoleskin:

  • Triple Claps to Crash, Jugs, and Alpo for the doubledown.  Hulk was a beast on the Ruck, but had to leave to chop pork at the church.
  • EncinoMan was the only pax rocking the vest.  Him and BenGay led from the front pushing the pace the entire workout.
  • The 50 Burpee Block Jump Overs were a real crowd pleaser!  They had us all gasping for air right from the start.  CornCob had a tough transition between them and the first 5Rds and ended up curled in a cocoon by the treeline.  #Merlot
  • Otis is been a solid Saturday guy for a while now.  I believe that he’s been to 4 of the last 5 Saturday’s that I’ve posted recently.
  • BluePrint has been putting in some quality gloomtime.  He worked rep for rep with me at the Shipyard a few weeks back and at Fury continued to be a front runner.  He has also been performing reps with the correct form.  He’s quiet and sneaky, but BluePrint is a guy that absolutely brings it during a workout.

It was a great time on a Saturday morning.  The workout was tough and long, like always.  Come join us next time at Fury, the State’s toughest AO.
