YHC spent the latter part of last week preparing the work for the CannonBall Run and then down in Myrtle Beach with the fam.  On the drive back from the beach is when I realized that it was me with the Q at Fury on Tuesday.  I wanted to come up with some more good stuff to push everyone’s limits but not kill the guys still recovering from the CSAUP.  With that in mind, here’s how it went…….

Conditions: A muggy morning that was on the fringes of being too hot.  The thermometer said 81F, but the humidity had to be close to 81% as well.  Summer and the nasty heat is coming, be forewarned.

Disclaimer: Forgotten.  Ooops.

The Warm Up: 5 Rds

10 Burpees

5 Pullups

Then it was time to grab a block and head for a lap on Hibachi Hill.  We dropped our blocks off at the road so they’d be waiting patiently when we returned to move straight over to the Gazebo.

30/25/20/15/10/5 Reps to be performed.  AKA reduce the work by 5 reps after each rd.

Curls

Air Squats

Leg Raises (on the table)

Triceps Extensions (on the bench)

Step Ups

Merkins

We all made it through the Rd of 20 and then it was time to move on.

Mosey back toward the Prison Yard, stopping at the Monkey Bars for some Spartan training.

20 KB Swings then across the Monkey Bars and onto the Horizontal Bars.  At the HBs cross with your feet and hands on the bars until one of your appendages touches the post on the far side. Return back to the MBs and cross facing backwards.  We made it through 2 Rds before time expired.

Return the blocks.

Announcements: None

Prayers: Praise report for Crash’s nephew surviving a brutal wreck without sustaining any injuries.

NMM: TClaps to both Crash and MaryAnne for posting after both were feeling the wrath of the work from the CannonBall Run.

MaryAnne and YHC wore weight vests for MayMadness.  The more I wear mine, the less cumbersome it seems to be, and the more gains I feel like I’m getting in return.

When MaryAnne ran the Spartan, he couldn’t get past the 3rd rung on the Monkey Bars.  Today not only did he cross going forwards, but he made it going backwards as well.  It’s truly remarkable how we remember the little failures and then after continuing to post and work hard we blow them right out of the water when we’re least expecting to.

It was another tough brutal workout at Fury.  The extra 15 mins does make a difference.  It was great finally meeting Crash and getting to spend some quality time in the gloom with him and MaryAnne.  Until next time.
