14 Elite PAX for Week 2 of the Elite Furian 2021 Challenge. As many rounds as possible – 1 lap around Lake Fury carrying a coupon + 5 man-makers + 10 block merkins + 20 flutter kicks holding block overhead. Top 6 qualifiers advance.

BenGay and Inspector gave up their spots as official competitors so fresh blood could compete, so the final 6 moving to next round are Sunshine, Special K, Tweeter, Encinoman, Southern Belle, and Foreclosure.

Prayer Requests/Praise Reports – Special K’s M has a job opportunity, BenGay’s mother’s surgery went well but she is back in the hospital with complications.

This was Sunshine’s event. He had 8 complete rounds. Man can move with a coupon. BenGay and Southern Belle were close on his heels with 7 full rounds and some partial work completed.

The top 6 look totally different from the qualifiers list because of absences, some modifications, and some benevolent PAX. It pays to show up. An awesome mix of young, old, skinny-runner, and Clydesdale move on to the next round: bucket carries up Fury Hill.

If anyone is compiling a playlist for their next Q, I have it on good authority that Uncle Jesse loves the Goo Goo Dolls.

The final round (0bstacle course) is going to be a dumpster fire. If explaining a lap around the pond plus 3 exercises is this difficult, I can’t imagine how awful a 5 mile course with 12+ obstacles will be. Like herding cats and putting socks on a rooster, this EF business is.

I feel it’s necessary to say again that, if you haven’t already gathered, we’re making this up as we go, so things are constantly evolving. We’re not really sorry for this. It’s a made up competition and the only thing that is at stake is a made up title. If you’re butt-hurt because things aren’t going your way, build a bridge and get over it because (a) you’re an adult and this is all just pretend, and (b) there’s a good chance that the ‘rules’ will change and you’ll be in the next round anyway. Just show up and have fun. That’s the got-dang point people.
