It was cold but not raining. That was a prayer answered. I’m not sure how many pax the idea of rain kept in bed, but for 5 of us…not a chance.

Temps: 35ish°

At this point, I can’t remember for sure what we did for a warmup, burpees?

THE THANG

Cindy:

20 Minute AMRAPS of

5 Pull-Ups

10 Merkins

15 Air Squats

Basically, Murph without the run. UJ said “I knew this w/o was some *^tches name”

Round count as follows:

Uncle Jesse 21 & 2/3

Duggar 20 & 2/3

Polly 13

2C “no idea”

Alpo “3”. Wrong, but he didn’t know how many. Close to Duggar’s number, I’m sure.

After this we made way to the gazebo. W/o as follows:

25 Calve Raises

50 Leg Lifts

25 Box Jumps

50 Flutterkicks (count one leg)

25 Merkins

After this, straight into:

21 Squats

15 Decline Merkins

9 Burpees

This was to be repeated 1x. However, before we did that, we did MAX EFFORT merkins. No man knew what the other man did, count wise, until after all completed their turn. Results were:

Uncle Jesse 70

Duggar 60

2C 45

Alpo 37

Polly 25

Uncle Jesse proclaimed “I think that’s the most push-ups I’ve ever done without stopping”

After the 2nd round, 1 hour was up.

  • The Fury Challenge has been successful. I hope it will continue though I know some things get “stale” after a while. Hopefully this will not. It’s good for us. Kudos to the guys who would not normally be posting at Fury, who as a commitment to this challenge, are. They are most definitely getting better. I’d like to see other AO’s somehow incorporate a similar practice, personally. I think it would help across the board.
  • UJ brought his music (other than the one song that lasts for 14 minutes) it’s always good stuff.
  • Unfortunately 2C brought up Dry Docking…again. Not gonna go there.
  • For anyone who cares, my watch light is red. This is because white light is verboten in military tactical environments. Apparently my version watch, Garmin felt like they needed to go all “Army”. Suits me fine.
