F3 Greenwood

YHC has been trying to get serious about training for the upcoming Spartan and after a few weeks of being a Shipyard regular, decided to get back out to Fury in order to get in an extra 33% more work.  Alpo was scheduled for the Q but rolled in at 0500 carrying a sheet of paper and not looking like his normal, eager to inflict pain, self.  He wasn’t feeling well, but still stepped up and delivered the plan.  YHC took the lead and off we went.

Grab a coupon and head to the gazebo.  YHC completely screwed this up as the sheet said “10 Burpees – 5 PUs”.  YHC incorrectly interpreted that as 5 pushups but didn’t realize until later what was intended.  So that’s what we did, 5 rounds.

Run from the gazebo up Hibachi Hill and back (1 mile)

Back in the gazebo…reps of 30, 25, 20, etc.

Curls
Air Squats
Leg Raises on table
Tricep Extensions – lying on table
Stepups
Merkins

I believe all pax made it through at least well into the 20 reps.

-Strong work by everyone today.  Everyone worked together to keep this Q on track.
-Shoutout to MaryAnne, who decided rolling his ankle pretty hard on the way to the gazebo would be a good idea.  He powered through without modifying.
-One thing YHC has seen a good bit here lately is a lack of form when doing the prescribed exercises at all AO’s.  If you’re modifying due to injury or ability level, then that’s what you’ve gotta do.  But if you’re modifying just to try to keep up with the lead pax, you’re not doing yourself any favors.  If it’s not worth doing right, it’s not worth doing.
