Re-introduce the Dive Bomber Merkin. I volunteered Bambi to demo because he originally brought this exercise to the gloom a few weeks back. Also because his form is far better than mine (right Woodpecker??).

• LBAC x 20 (forwards and backwards)
• Dive Bomber Merkins: 15 OYO (This is where Polly, who had good reason to take it easy today, informed us that we looked like cats… thanks for coming out to support anyway good buddy!)
• Heel Taps x 20
• Diver Bomber Merkins: 10 OYO
• Dying Cockroaches x 20
• Diver Bomber Merkins: 5 OYO
• Divide into 1’s and 2’s

Mosey to Coupon Cage, grab your weapon and meet in the center of the complex.

The Thang:

Get together with teams. 1’s with 1’s and 2’s with 2’s.

1 team member farmers carry the coupon the their team’s check point (The OTHER red bench) while the rest of team does Iron Crosses with coupon.

Rotate until time is called.

Rinse and repeat except switch Iron Crosses with Grass Cutters… too much abs!

Recover and mosey with coupon to Pavilion.

Partner up.

1 partner does calf raises while the other does dips. Rotate every 20 reps until time is called.

Rinse and repeat except swap for curls and squats.

Recover, return your trusty coupon and Mosey back to flag.

Now, that wasn’t so bad was it??

Devotion:

The Q is a big believer in re-familiarizing yourself with the Gospel on a regular basis…so that’s what we did. Often times as followers of Christ we forget that there may be some folks around us on a regular basis who claim to follow Jesus Christ, but are actually far from Him. Growing up, the Q was a big fan of The Beatles (I’m an old soul). I knew so many facts about The Beatles, but I never actually knew them. That’s what Christ was like to me… just a bunch of facts but no relationship. John 1:6 tells us that if we claim to walk in the light but actually walk in the darkness, we are fooling ourselves. It is important to realize the truth about Salvation. Christ died and took the wrath of God for us! It is due to nothing that we did or could ever do, that’s why its called grace. Once a follower, we are to become like Jesus, not treat him like a buffet; take the parts we like and leave the rest. All of this is something that I constantly have to remind myself of. It’s about Him, not me.
