Rucking is not for everyone. GORUCK events might not your cup of tea. But, it is something that YHC has enjoyed and benefited from physically and personally as a man. Challenges that make men work together to accomplish something are great and the theme of GORUCK events. YHC wanted to bring a little taste of a GORUCK event to the Epicenter.
So YHC grabbed up some stuff from the gym and headed out.
Warmup:
20 side straddle hopes
15 hillbillys
15 alternating shoulder taps

The Thang: move the following items one mile around the Epicenter.
100 lbs sandbag
60lbs sandbag
50lbs sandbag
40lbs sandbag
25lbs kb
35lbs kb
45lbs kb
2 25 lbs dumbbells
30lbs slam-ball
50lbs slam-ball
75lbs drag sled
25 lbs mace (sledgehammer)
Juggernaut’s ruck (30lbs)
615lbs of weight total 6 PAX.
Each time a man needed a break or coupon fell to the ground a 10 burpee penalty was assessed. We probably did 70 burpees.
Half way through on flossy’s hill sandbag bear-crawls commenced.

There was little in the way comfort to be had carrying all the weight. Lots of mumble chatter. Everyone pushed themselves and divided up the weight and did their part.

FNG Thin Mint is a stud. He jumped right in and embraced the suck for sure! Tweeter drug a sled with 125 lbs on it started us off with a 100 lbs sandbag on the shoulder and a kettlebell in each hand! That skinny man put in work!
It was something different and the guys seemed to enjoy the challenge.

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. – Galatians 6:2

NMS: the mysterious Gary, picked up a 45lbs kb that fell off the sled and came running by and brought it back to us.
