Finally a brief reprieve from the rain and a chance to get these shirtless, pec-baring hunks out on the concrete for some hard-earned miles. Hal would be proud, at least of most of us.
A large group embarked for a game of Pacer Chaser 5 miles up Grace. A few hung back for a low-key 4 OnB. Squirtle PR’d and ran an entire mile without stopping at a 9:06 pace. Good job sir – keeping coming back. You’ll have no choice but to get better.
And in other news, BenGay ran a lot of fast miles. Outside of Hal’s prescribed work but respectable nonetheless. Wk1/Day 3 marathon training complete.

Announcements – Saturday is at Terrapin; APFT is Monday 7/18 @0500, YMCA. There were some rumblings about looking into doing the new APFT workout, we would just need to acquire a mobile pull up bar, a hex bar , a weighted sled, two kettlebells, three shake-weights, a regulation Olympic sized swimming pool, and 18 PAX to help set it up at 0300 four days before. Google sign-up sheet to follow. Some expected push-back from the Skinny Runners and a follow up text from the main man Hal himself asking just what in the **** sort of stunt we’re trying to pull down here in Greenwood.
Word to the wise, don’t cross Hal. Always keep the running events.
