F3 Greenwood

It was a perfect 55 degrees this morning. IMO, that’s about perfect weather for a jog. Or a Ruck.  Or a walk.  Or a 5K Indian Run.

And, that’s exactly what happened.  The beauty of this AO is the flexibility PAX have to do whatever they want and/or need to do.  For example, several PAX  used the opportunity to just run, as either an individual or a group, for various distances/paces.  Dixie Chick, who is recovering from several ailments, was able to come out to walk and get some much needed fresh air and some 2nd F.  Several of the PAX experimented with a 5K Indian Run, which went over amazingly well (so they say).  Some of them stretched it to a 4 mile run.  We also had the “rucking” guys, who always show up to put in some good, heavy work and burn some calories.

As they say, variety is the spice of life.  And, this “run” is no exception.

We did have some hecklers at the Waffle House as we passed, but out group was so focused, we just kept on trucking.   However, these runs would be a lot more fun and entertaining if we could have a lot more hecklers on the route(s).

We all finished around 6:00 and stood in a circle.  In this circle, we did the following:

Announcements :

(1) This Saturday, the workout is at the Shipyard.  Not sure if anyone has agreed to Q, but if you’re interested, sign up.  You know, leaders lead, right? I’ve heard that before.

(20 On May 12, we will celebrate three years of F3Greenwood with a run/boot-camp combination thingy that will start at Terrapin.  Be sure to sign up online or just let Sugar know and he’ll sign you up.

Prayers:

Uncle Buck was heading into some testing, so prayers for him.  Praise report for Dixie Chick, who has been through the ringer the past couple months with a stress fracture and ulcerative colitis. It was great that was well enough to come walk a little and re-join the group.

YHC said a little prayer for these requests and those unspoken prayer requests.

Until next time,

JJ
