F3 Greenwood

22 PAX converged at Starbucks this morning for our weekly Run/Ruck.   It was nice to see Eleanor (Hulk’s dog) joining us and putting in good work as well.  Maybe Pusher can bring his dog, Georgia, and they can become buddies.  That would be nice.

As usual, we all went various distances and various speeds, but we all returned safely at 6:00 and enjoyed some quality 2nd F.

We did have several important announcements:

Announcements:

  • Piddler announced that F3Greenwood will begin a “program” to help PAX increase their speed, with the goal of obtaining a PR on Wednesday, October 31 at the Starbucks run.  It will be a 9 week plan. At each of the designated Run AO’s, there will be theme, or a plan, for anyone who wants to participate.   You can set your own goal, set your own training program (or follow the one created by the Run Q’s), and try to PR.  Or, as YHC stated this morning, just a goal.  It doesn’t necessarily have to be a PR, but maybe just a “goal” you want to achieve.    Anyway, Kudo’s to CornCob and Piddler for being intentional and creating  plan to help make us better.
  • Juggernaut announced that this Saturday, September 1, will be the first “ruckfest club” beginning at 6:00 am the Fountain.  It will be a 2 hour ruck/workout with targeted discussion over breakfast at Howard’s on Main. It will be Q-Source material that will be discussed at breakfast.
  • The following Saturday, Juggernaut and Hulk will be climbing 110 stairs under weight at Hampton Plaza as a 9/11 Tribute.  They will have patches for sale to benefit  Middle School leadership program.  Trying to raise $1,500.00 and Task Force Centennial, which is a new arm of the Operation Enduring Warrior project, which reaches out to wounded law enforcement officers.  Patches are $10.00 each. A portion of these proceeds will go to help fund those projects that I just mentioned.  Everyone is welcomed to join this event.
  • If YHC got any of the details concerning the “speed workouts,” Ruckfest Club or 911 tribute incorrect, please contact me and I will edit this BackBlast appropriately.

Prayers – YHC closed in prayer.  Specifically, we did pray for Lego, who is our F3 brother who is currently deployed helping protect our country and the freedoms we enjoy.

Peace,

JJ
