WarmUp-None
TheThang – I am sure the forecast for rain kept a few PAX in the fartsack, I am sure a few drops on the roofs at home scared a few more away from posting, but 22 PAX chose to ignore the threat or perceived imminence of rain and came out to get better in the gloom.
16 chose to run, 6 chose to Ruck (including our Nantan and Corn Cob). Routes differed, distances differed, and paces definitely differed. Of special note, Mary Anne continues to impress with his improved pace….started and finished near the front. Also good to see some of the injured guys (Flossy, Judge Judy, Meatloaf) pushing through to get back at it. Of course, Papercut did his usual leave 10 minutes and blow pass everyone in his own “leisure” pace.
Count/Name
BOM-This being first run for YHC and others since P200 only 11 days ago, short 5k distance and slower pace still proved to be a challenge. Reminder that with exercise, you “use it or lose it”. YHC believes same can be said for sharing our faith with others. Fail to read the word, fail to hear the word, fail to share the word….you will probably fail to show it. You are either moving forward (physically/spiritually) or moving backward. PAX challenged to look for ways to come alongside others in need.
Moleskin/Announcements
-Good to have several join me for first run since P200. Prayers for those still nursing post-race injuries (Dixie Chick, Metermaid, Uncle Jesse, Tweeter, etc)
