First off, apologies for the delay in getting this backblast done. If you take a Q, the responsibility lies on you to get the BB posted in a timely manner and YHC failed in that department this time. Will try to do better going forward.
Sunday runs are now officially a “long run” day for F3 Greenwood. As YHC arrived at Starbucks at 5:55am, there was not another vehicle to be found. As points were on the line, there would likely be quite a few pax show up, but would any show before the 6:00am start time? As the clock struck 6, there’s still only one lonely vehicle in the parking lot. YHC looked up and in rolled Thumper before the clock hit 6:01. Then Polly, then Southern Belle, then Pothole. So the disclaimer was given around 6:05 and off we went with those who were present. When all was said and done, 19 pax took advantage of what YHC and many others have enjoyed as a rogue run day for at least the past year.
Some pax ran longer distances, some ran shorter and used the opportunity to get in a recovery run. Work was done despite the 32° temperature and the coffee was hot for the 2nd F afterward. Points were earned and the pax got better, which is what it’s all about.
We counted, named, announced, and prayed.
