YHC had the pleasure of being the Q for the weekly Wednesday Starbucks Coffee Runs.

Conditions were the same they will be until late September….Muggy

Disclaimer and OG 5K Route explained, Lets Roll!

YHC asked for someone to join him on the 8K, no takers so plan B, anyone want to go for a PR on the 5K? Seemed if though no takers then Puddin smoked YHC before we reached the Waffle House. Quick note on the Waffle House its doesn’t smell and is not as appetizing s it was 10 months ago. Anyway everyone ran and #gotbetter. Good to see some new faces and good to see guys sucking wind. If your sucking wind your pushing yourself, if your pushing yourself your #gettingbetter.

Nameorama (Good to have another Englishman in Puddin. You just can’t say Puddin and Posh in a southern accent anymore after hearing these guys say their own name in their native accent)

22 Merkins YHC modified to 23 the extra in honor of a fellow PAX, Lego, who will be deployed in 2 weeks. Let’s keep the 23 going until he returns home!

YHC had a quick word for the PAX that what we put into our minds will come out of our hearts and we will in turn live our. We should always guard our hearts and minds with what we put into them and what comes out of them. YHC noted that many are moved by music and all of us as men have struggles and difficulties in life. A song that resonates with YHC is from a group named Big Daddy Weave called I am Redeemed. A line that hits home with me says “Stop Fighting a Fight that’s already been won.” Men we don’t have to face things alone and with Christ he has already defeated our struggles and difficulties. We also have each other to rely on. the lyrics are included below.

Seems like all I could see was the struggle
Haunted by ghosts that lived in my past
Bound up in shackles of all my failures
Wondering how long is this gonna last
Then You look at this prisoner and say to me “son
Stop fighting a fight it’s already been won”

I am redeemed, You set me free
So I’ll shake off these heavy chains
Wipe away every stain, now I’m not who I used to be
I am redeemed, I’m redeemed

All my life I have been called unworthy
Named by the voice of my shame and regret
But when I hear You whisper, “Child lift up your head”
I remember, oh God, You’re not done with me yet

I am redeemed, You set me free
So I’ll shake off these heavy chains
Wipe away every stain, now I’m not who I used to be

Because I don’t have to be the old man inside of me
‘Cause his day is long dead and gone
Because I’ve got a new name, a new life, I’m not the same
And a hope that will carry me home

I am redeemed, You set me free
So I’ll shake off these heavy chains
Wipe away every stain, ’cause I’m not who I used to be

I am redeemed, You set me free
So I’ll shake off these heavy chains
Wipe away every stain, yeah, I’m not who I used to be
Oh, God, I’m not who I used to be
Jesus, I’m not who I used to be
‘Cause I am redeemed
Thank God, redeemed
