12 PAX showed up for a dose of the “Right Stuff” and Uncle Jesse’s first Q at the Fury AO.  In honor of our trip around the block, with the blocks, I thought a little NKOTB was fitting.  I was always told I look like Jordan from NKOTB.  Excellent workout for all, and one that pushed YHC to the limit.

COP

While remainder of PAX complete merkins/air squats, each member of PAX completes 10 pullups until everyone in circle has had a turn on pull up bar. If you are coming to Fury, you better believe Pull-ups will be involved. Get used to it and before long everyone will be knocking them out like clockwork.  (Lite Brite has perfect form.  That’s the benchmark)

The Thang

Report card:

1.5 mile mosey with block – Check

Dora 1,2,3 – Check

Pull-ups – Check

Indian run up Fury Road with coupon – Check

Grade – Everyone passes Uncle Jesse’s hardest test yet, but there is room for improvement (I am not pleased with the walk portion of the Indian run).

  • I knew it was going to be a good day when Refugee (last name Wolf) showed up and I sang Wolfman’s Brother, to which Uncle Buck immediately noted the Phish reference.  YHC was pleased.
  • Kobayashi noted post workout that during the workout the coupon was hitting the thick part of his neck, which he didn’t even realize he had until today.
  • No injuries were reported (yet), although Lite Brite’s coupon went for a tumble during the last stretch of the Indian run as he was repositioning.  Those things get awkward after 45 mins or so.
  • I think Capri liked the workout based on his level of enthusiasm throughout.  It is much appreciated and he was definitely leading from the front.
  • Great work guys.  We all definitely got a little better this morning.
  • Btw – Uncle Jesse got married to Becky on Full House last night and sang at his own wedding…twice.  Love that guy.
