- This BB is posted on behalf of my good friend Polly on his VQ today. Polly you did an awesome job and this is an awesome BB. Proud of you brother! Aye! Meatloaf Out
Why Batman? I grew up in the late 60’s and early 70’s on a steady diet of Batman re-runs. As you know, Batman doesn’t have any super powers. He is just a man (a very RICH man with REALLY cool toys,) who puts on a uniform, fights crime, and catches bad guys; a lot like my late Dad (who was a Police Officer.) It wasn’t until I was older that I realized that my fascination with Batman was a reflection of my admiration and respect for my real Hero….my Dad.
Conditions: 52 degrees clear and cool.
Disclaimer: I am not a professional. As a matter of fact, I am so UN-professional that I forgot to give the Disclaimer (First time butterflies!)

The Bat Cave (aka the Tunnel of Love – admit it though, “Bat Cave” is much cooler):
Count off by two’s.
Line up in two rows (1’s & 2’s) facing each other, squat, and form bat-cave roof by leaning forward and locking arms, first pair at front of line, break-off, run to back, “bat crawl” through the bat-cave, get back in line. Run through PAX 2X.
*Side Note: This did not “flow” well, so on the 2nd round, the pair at the BACK of the line went through first, this worked MUCH better – Thanks BabyBlu.
Follow the Bat-signal back to the Flag.
Devotion: Psalms 127: 3-5 NASB
Count-a-rama: Thanks PAX for reminding me.
Name-a-rama: Took 2 tries, but we got it.

Naked-Man Moleskin:
- T-Claps to BabyBlu and Mr. Bean for making the 4.1 mile, 11 minute trek from the Shipyard to Epicenter for my VQ (that is for YOU Pusher.)
- Speaking of BabyBlu, apologies for my “unique” cadence calling during the CoP.
- As some of you know, YHC does not listen well in the gloom (too busy talking) and can’t retain complex instructions. Soooo, I thought it would be a good idea to modify my original WO from
- 6 – 5 minute rounds to 3 – 10 minute rounds. BAD idea (looked good on paper.)
- 10 Minutes is a REALLY LOOOONG time (see above.)
- Mumble chatter was at a minimum, or maybe I just couldn’t hear it over my heavy breathing and wheezing!
- St. Patrick’s Day was one of my Dad’s favorite holidays. He served as Grand Marshall for numerous St. Patrick’s Day parades in Morristown, NJ. Dad is never far from my thoughts, but St. Patrick’s Day is always hard.
- I was just 27 when my Dad passed away 25 years ago (it was very sudden and he was only 58.) I have tried my best to emulate the example he LIVED as a Christian, Husband, and Dad. He was my Hero.
- Anybody can be a Father; it takes a real man to be a DAD.
- Make an impact on someone’s life today, be someone’s Hero.
- It was an honor to Q today in his memory.
Until next time (if ya’ll let me)….Same Bat-Time….Same Bat-Channel!
