F3 Greenwood

This has been quite an eventful week for me. Not only did I turn 40, but I also Qed two runs and capped off the week with my bootcamp VQ at the Epicenter. My M even pulled off a surprise party for me on Friday night. It was a great week, and I cannot think of a better way to celebrate than to be surrounded at multiple times by my family, friends and F3 brothers. Let’s get to work.

Conditions:  Beautiful, 75* sunny morning

Devotion:

When life is difficult and we feel we are under pressure, it’s easy to see nothing but our problems. We need to be reminded that Jesus went through unimaginable suffering in our place and that if we fix our eyes on Him, he will strengthen us.

NMM:

-Today was my VQ, so I knew that there would be some mumblechatter early to disrupt my cadence, but years of experience in the classroom has conditioned me to not be shaken by mumblechatter shenanigans.

-The PAX were less than thrilled to hear they would be planking in the first round of work. Rumblings of “Kobayashi, Jr” were being tossed around, especially after it was revealed that I had recently obtained a few second-hand pallets for an upcoming project.

-Time ran out about halfway through the last set of DORA. Don’t worry. I will make sure it is brought back the next time I Q.

It was an honor and a pleasure to lead this group of men today. Thanks to all the PAX who were present to support me in my VQ. I look forward to doing it again soon.
