AO: Coffee Runs

PAX: BenGay, Bueller, Pusher, Uncle Jesse, Beano, Tootsie Roll, Rapunzel, Inspector, Dixie Chick, Special K, Polly

The Thang:
here’s the rundown of today’s episode of the Wednesday Run, full of surprises and some classic PAX moments:

BenGay, ever the rebel, ditched the speed work and did his own thing. Guess running fast isn’t his style – or maybe he thought Encinoman was going to be there.
Bueller, Beano, Rapunzel, Inspector, and Tweeter set out for speed work at the Y, but, surprise, two PAX got lost on the way. Maybe it was the thought of keeping up with Rapunzel that scared them off.
Inspector started with a classic line: “Dude, I can’t run 5 miles, I can’t run the times you set.” Fast forward to him crushing those 400s faster than the pace. Classic underdog move, Inspector – next time, try a little more confidence upfront.
Pusher – did he run or just show up for coffee? The world may never know. But if caffeine counts as a workout, he’s our champ.
Tootsie Roll is getting fast, no doubt. He held back on the rocket boosters today and stayed within the planned pace range. Run slower to get faster!!!
Polly arrived and spent most of the morning searching for Fartsacking Mary Ann. Must be some kind of new training regimen
Special K left his oxygen tank in the vehicle after a two-week bout with pneumonia. And guess what? He got better. Pneumonia has nothing on Special K!
Dixie Chick shrugged off the JC Penney workout and put in some solid miles. Rumor has it he is gearing up for another run at Nantan.
Uncle Jesse bailed on the speed work but got something done while contemplating his weasel-shaking tasks during coffee. Multi-tasking at its finest.

Moleskin:
Another run in the books, filled with speed, coffee, and some unexpected turns. Keep pushing, keep showing up (or not, looking at you, MaryAnn), Until next time, gentlemen.

COT Announcements:
Tomorrow is the Patriot Games workout at Talon. Do it solo or with a partner/team. Don’t miss out!
