F3 Greenwood

7 men woke up early and took on an hour’s worth of Fury in the cold.    I again basically recycled last week’s BC with some slight changes.  Getting the necessary miles and merkins is critical for December.  The promise of a coveted 2 points towards the Fury Challenge brought some guys out and it was nice to have them.

24 Meter Maids (at the previous stop the convo centered around Meter’s inability to do pistols bc it might compromise the knee on his “slide” leg whilst bowling.  We then discussed his purported leg kick and high arm swing.  So on the next mosey i developed an exercise in my head to honor such bowling prowess.  The “Meter Maid” is basically a lunge step that incorporates swinging the opposite arm to include a very “high finish”.  Evidently you have to leave it up there for your opponent to see.)

    Weaver was a bit slower today given that he had on cotton sweatsuit that would have made Rocky Balboa envious.
    Duggar pushed the envelope again.  Nice to hear the guys encouraging each other.  I know i pushed it a little bit harder when Duggar said, “sprint up that hill”.  We need that.
    Pistols – it was mentioned these are just like pull-ups.  You’ll never be able to do them if you don’t try/practice.  (Unless it compromises your slide leg)

    The 1 mile run with 20 sec sprints is becoming a staple in my workouts.  I like it a lot.
