After a weekend of running a squatching, what better way to start the week with even more running paired with a health dose of pain? Nine others decided to join the fun.

Turn right at the top of the stairs and run around the sidewalk, back to the bottom. 10 merkins, 1 v-up

Turn left at the top of the stairs and run around back to the bottom. 10 squats, 1 big boy

Turn right, run, 9 merkins, 2 v-ups

Turn left, run, 9 squats, 2 big boys

Right, run, 8, 3. Left, run, 8, 3 (an so on…….)

5:50- Recover was called, and hit an Indian run on our way back to Terrapin. (Does calling it an Indian run make it harder? Or does it not need a name to be challenging???)

5:57- We arrive back at Terrapin, 20 merkins, 10 v-ups, 5 squatin’ bonnies.

Announcements- If you haven’t done the Sasquatch there is still a chance for you to do so.

Prayer Request- Quickie’s continued recovery.

As much as I like finding ways to make others miserable, I can’t take all the credit for the beat down these men endured this morning. The workout was a combination of Blu’s crazy eights (a workout we did a while back), and whatever Sunshine had us doing at his last Fury Q.

Pothole had the best name for the series of work at the plaza. The butterfly. As humid and sticky as it was this morning, it certainly felt like I was dipped in butter like a succulent bucket of crab legs. (You’re welcome for that).

I think this was a great workout for the speedsters and the clydesdales to take part in. It always seems to be harder to keep a good pace when there is work in between segments of running. We got to get better at it somehow or another.

I was blessed to have such a good crowd of great guys join me in starting the week off right. I look forward to the next time.

I’ve got some coloring to do.
