I should have known rain would be in the forecast this morning. A Crayola Q at Fury usually increases the chance of rain by 50% (a proven scientific fact).  An alternative workout was prepared, but by the time I stepped out of my truck I decided to take the red pill and go with the original plan, rain and all.

Here is how it went

    Warmup

      20 SSH
      20 Imperial Walkers
Grab a block and mosey down to the end of Murders Row by the traffic light at Urgent Care

    The Work

Using a block, bunny hop to the 1st telephone pole
Leave block there and mosey to the bottom of Fury Hill
      15 merkins,
      Mosey back to your block
      15 bent over rows
Repeat by block bunny hoping to the next pole, closing the distance back to Fury Hill each round

5:55 am – Block Indian walk back to return blocks

After further reflection, I do believe that bunny hops with blocks are awful. They certainly make running down Murders Row uncomfortable. Nobody finished the entire stretch of poles, but it would have been possible if I hadn’t procrastinated getting down Fury Hill. We did get more than 3 miles in total. I’m thankful the dead deer that was in the median days prior was relocated before today. That would’ve made this morning even more uncomfortable. Moist deer decomposition isn’t the most pleasant smell.

I’m thankful these guys didn’t decide to get back in their car and leave once I decided to work in the rain. They put in some intense work. I know I wouldn’t be out there getting work in without them. According to Belle, we should know every crack of Murders Row now. I swear that stretch of road becomes longer the more we run on it.

I’ve got to go color my name on the Q sheet before I get put on probation.
