USN Chief Petty Officer Christian Michael Pike died on March 12, 2013 while being treated for combat-related injuries, sustained days earlier in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

He was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star with Valor. He is survived by his mother, sister, and fiance.

This one sounded a lot easier on paper, but by somewhere around round 2, I realized that I was not making any new friends.
