Conditions- 40° and just right

One minute warning and disclaimer given to about 8 of the 15 HC’s. Blu must have been right, all 15 won’t show. But he isn’t one of the 8 here!

Head to the prison yard. As I am reading over the work, the sound of engines revving and tires gripping asphalt come from the bottom of Fury Rd. The speed limit was definitely exceeded. They were running late, but I like to think they were just in a hurry to do some work. Tweeter may have exited his van before it was fully stopped.

There was some mumblechatter about my work lists being in baggies at all the stations. Hey it keeps them dry! Yes, I am married to a first grade teacher, so we are getting ready to pair up with a buddy and go play in centers for an hour.

Howling Monkeys- The Last Monkey Humping Edition

Circle up. Assume Monkey Humper start position. First PAX starts with 10 Monkey Humpers while remaining PAX hold start position. After PAX 1 completes 10, the next PAX to his left does 10. If a PAX releases his ankles, then he is out. This continues around the circle until the last monkey is left humping. Note to self, calling recover after doing 20 Bonnie Blairs was not one of my better decisions right before Howling Monkeys. A big group like we had is rough on the quads waiting for your turn. Performing the 10 is almost a break from the pain of the static hold. Monkeys started dropping like flies. Duggar was in the lowest posture of all of us and appeared to be a strong contender. It all came down to Tweeter and Uncle Jesse. They were gridlocked into the final hump off. Excellent humping form from each, but the lactic acid burn finally forced Tweeter to break his ankle hold, and Uncle Jesse humped his way to victory. Stunning performance by Uncle Jesse and probably worthy of the belt. By the way, where is that thing?

All PAX worked their 6’s off this morning. Fury has so much to offer. I like to pull the weights out from time to time to go a little heavier and work that muscle differently. It is a different work from the usual HIIT that we do, but painful in it’s own right. I love the turnout that we have been seeing. Hopefully PAX that have never been to Fury are seeing that Fury is not just a top secret AO for meatheads only. The work is hard, but the effort you put forth is where the magic happens. Congrats to ThinMint on a merlot splash! We’ve all been there brother! One thing is sure, he was giving it 120%! Or either he’s got a stomach bug, and we’re all in trouble. I venture to say the dude was killing it. Fury will surely trigger the bubbles of even the more seasoned veterans.

The handles I made for the Thundersticks need to be tweaked, but they will return. Sorry for the delay they added to the momentum. They did add a whole new level of suck to the Thundersticks though!

Solid work by all PAX. Rotating between stations made it hard to see how everyone was doing, but everyone was doing work. Props to guys modifying work that could cause or prolong an injury.

AB Mary-

Duggar- 25 BBSU’s

Polly- 25 American Hammers (count 1 side)

ThinMint- 25 more BBSU’s (Possible merlot trigger)

Announcements- Saturday workout at Shipyard. No Q yet. PSA: GET OFF YOUR 6 AND SIGN UP TO Q! It’s not rocket science guys. Need help with it? Done. Hit me up. I will CoQ with you or help you in any way, as will any PAX that has done it before. Listen to that little voice in your head telling you that you should step up and start leading instead of laying back and receiving. I had the same voice. I hate I waited so long to do it. Some of you don’t need to listen to the voices in your head. Just the one telling you to Q for a change. Meals On Wheels 5K on Nov 10. Blood and guts tomorrow at Starbucks. Sign up!!
