F3 Greenwood

I saw the open Q posted for Saturday at Terrapin and snatched it up as a way to hold myself accountable to posting.  After Red Friday yesterday, there was plenty of soreness and excuses not to post.  That said, I wanted to set an example to the folks who might be in a rut.  All that said, I was guilty of hitting the snooze button a few times and finally woke up in a panic at 5:52am.  What was i to do?  I could have easily laid back down and provided an excuse.  But i sent out a few texts to guys to get the PAX started and that i would be coming in hot.  Luckily Meter Maid got the text and obliged.  I frantically left the house and pulled into Terrapin at 6:07am.  World record time to get up, put in contacts, brush teeth, prepare protein shake, and get across town (I even gave Puddin, the cat, some love and let her out).

My grandma always preached to me, “Better late than never”.  That lady impacted me in so many ways and still does to this day even though she’s been gone for 20+ years.

COT/BOM

  • Solid work this morning by all PAX.
  • Folks modified as needed which is exactly what you should be doing if appropriate.
  • Terrapin Barnacle Blocks are no joke.  Pusher was my partner and picked a nasty one.  I’m glad he did.
  • I played my Pusher mix in his honor.  Dude got up, posted at Terrapin, gave a rousing speech at Howard’s about ways to get PAX re-engaged, then is going to go to work today.  What a guy.  (Although he didn’t like my Quiet Riot song selection).
  • Meter continues to amaze by posting with a broken femur.
  • Good to see T Rav, Otis and Polly again.  Although I saw Polly earlier this week at Fury (mad respect), i don’t get to workout with them much anymore, which is why Saturdays are so important to our group.
  • Southern Belle does what SB does.  Shows up, shows out, and repeats the next opportunity he has.  Dude is a stud.
  • Shout out to DC for getting in some pre-BC miles.  Hate i missed it.  Hope your breakfast at Howard’s was good…oh wait.
  • Judge Judy and Tootsie joined at Howard’s along with a brief appearance by Half Stitch.  Someone EH that guy again (he needs it).

Until next time, I’ll keep shaking that weasel.  If you don’t want to be the next guy to get called, show up on a regular basis.  That doesn’t necessarily mean everyday.  Do what works for you, but don’t provide shitty excuses.
