This Q kind of snuck up on me a bit.  That said, I mentioned to a couple of guys at Fury on Tuesday that I was looking forward to getting one of my favorite workouts (the 1550) on the schedule soon.  I just didn’t realize it was going to be this soon.  We had a few HCs, most notably Southern Belle who no showed.  That said, 3 other guys met me for a good old fashioned full body beat down.

It went like this:

Warm Up (partition as you wish)

100 Calf Raises, 100 Ab exercise of your choice, 50 squats, 50 merkins

“1550”

15 Burpees and 50 big boys;

14 Burpees and 50 chest presses;

13 Burpees and 50 monkey humpers;

12 Burpees and 50 flutters;

11 Burpees and 50 bicep curls;

10 Burpees and 50 jungle bois;

9 Burpees and 50 V-Ups;

8 Burpees and 50 KB swings;

3 Burpees and 50 LBCs

2 Burpees and 50 thrusters

1 burpee and 50 pullups

Each round includes a back pedal to the woods and a sprint/mosey back.

COT/BOM

  • Solid work by everyone.
  • Inspector gave an occasional expletive to express his satisfaction with the workout
  • The remaining 3 of us are all dealing with post P200 ailments and suffered through.  It says a lot about those guys who are willing to push through the pain and modify as needed.
  • The workout is designed to where the 50 reps get harder as the burpees decrease.  The last 2 rounds are a real test.
  • Hartness Half playlist was music of choice.  Phish, Killers, Bear’s Den, Grateful Dead and Widespread Panic among the favorites.

See you tomorrow, where the belt will be officially handed over to BabyBlu for his team’s epic March Madness performance.
