F3 Greenwood

This was the coldest post YHC has made to an F3 workout yet.  On my way to the Fury site, a small part of me was hoping no one else would show due to the temps, but as I turned onto Fury Rd, I noticed the headlights of the car behind me turning onto Fury Rd as well.  So much for that.  The next best thing was to work hard and warmup quickly.  3 pax reluctantly got out of their warm vehicles to join me and it was time to work.

Conditions: It was cold, single digits cold by the time we were done.

Disclaimer: I’m not a professional and we’re all probably stupid for being out here, but let’s make the best of it.

The THANG

Mosey to the base of the slides at the pond and partner up.
Partner 1 perform burpees at the base of the slides while Pax 2 performs Lt Dan’s (#crowdpleaser) from the slides to the pier and jogs back.

Mosey to the dentist office
50 Big Boy Situps
Clock Merkins – 5 reps each direction, then 4 reps, etc. down to 1
50 Big Boy Situps

Mosey to Junior
30 LBC’s
Run to the 3rd light pole
30 American Hammers (count 1 side)
Run back down
Rinse and repeat for 2 rounds

Mosey to Murder’s Row
At the first light pole – 10 Monkey Humpers
At each successive light pole add 1 additional rep

At the base of Fury Rd, Merkin Indian Run back to the pullup bars
10 Merkins for each pax before running to the front of the line

At the pullup bars
10 pullups
30 Alpo’s
30 curls
Rinse and repeat for 2 rounds

Time’s up – mosey back to where we started

  • As we started, there were 4 of us.  2 of us started with burpees and the other 2 went out for Lt Dans.  But as those 2 returned, YHC noticed there were 3 silhouettes jogging back in.  I was a little confused but quickly realized Alpo had arrived just in time to take on some Lt Dans.  Glad he didn’t miss that.
  • Since the nantan joined us, YHC couldn’t help but throw in some clock merkins.  Thought he might appreciate those.
  • This was my first of hopefully many Q’s at Fury.  There was a strong group of pax on hand and I hope this one lived up to the standard that’s been set there.
  • It’s always a pleasure to get the chance to lead, even if it is stupid cold.  Looking forward to the next opportunity.
