The holidays and the temps have definitely taken their toll on PAX numbers lately. YHC arrived at Starbucks to find just a handful of PAX soaking in that last bit of heat in their vehicles before embracing the suck. As it got closer to go time, several more rolled in. One minute call and disclaimer were given. Some went 5K, some went 5mi, some went 2mi, and some walked. The common denominator- they were in the gloom together. All were back around 6ish safe and sound.

COT

15 PAX circled up, counted, and named. Not sure if it was the fact that the sweat was starting freeze or not, but respect for Judge Judy wasn’t quite as boisterous as it could have been, but we got there eventually.

Announcements:

Lunch at Fusion Thursday 12:15

2.0 BC at Fury led by Judge Hairy

Saturday BC at Shipyard led by Uncle Jesse. As this was announced, Uncle Jesse noted “It’s about to get weird!” Not sure if this was about his playlist for Saturday or his work out. My guess, you may want to bring a heart monitor for a typical Uncle Jesse beatdown.

Prayer requests:

Meter Maid’s niece and her recovery from surgery

Family of Refugee’s friend that passed from cancer

Bueller’s grandmother with the flu

NMM:

Temps just above freezing this morning with threats of rain kept many a PAX in the fartsack. TCLAPS to all that posted anyway. As we circled up, it started to sleet. Just speaking for myself, I enjoy posting in the colder temps. I’m more awake, and gets me pumped up. We are all battling things that try to steal us away from what God created us for-community. Body aches and pains are something that I struggle with. The thing is, know your body. Know the ones you can work through, and know the ones that need attention. Got to give TCLAPS to guys like Beano that show up and walk when they know running isn’t what is going to make them better. And guys that show up to BC’s with aches and pains, but modify those exercises that will keep them from getting better. I wish I could tell my 20 year old self to not wait until you’re 45 to start working out! I did enjoy my VQ for the Coffee Run and my debut performance on “60 seconds with Sugar”. The 2ndF was also great. I appreciate every chance I get for 2ndF since I work out of town and rarely get to enjoy it. It truly is the glue that keeps the F’s together.

Until next time, Southern Belle is hanging up.
