After what I would suspect to be an overindulgence by most PAX on Thanksgiving, I was hoping for big numbers at Red Friday, but it was not to be. Fortunately, 4 of us braved the cold and got the day started with some quality work.
Meatloaf’s Massacre
5 Rounds for Time
10 Bent Rows
20 KB Swings
30 Curls
40 OH Presses
50 Chest Presses
After round 1 run 2000m
After round 2 run 1600m
After round 3 run 1200m
After round 4 run 800m
After round 5 run 400m
(We shorted the first two runs by about 400m in an effort to avoid confusion) That said, we still covered over 3.1 miles.
Results:
Meatloaf – 42:15
Uncle Jesse – 43:40
Posh – 44:45
Pusher – 48:00
COT/BOM
- Good work by all.
- Meatloaf designed this workout in the early days of Red Friday (he didn’t know at the times that we generally just picked a workout form the Hero list. Nonetheless, it’s an ass kicker so I like to bring it out from time to time.
- Bent Rows, KB swings and OH presses are among my least favorite exercises. That said, I think it’s important to perform those in an effort to get better. I encourage everyone to step out of their comfort zones and push to get to the next level.
- Nice to have Posh back in the mix.
- Pusher went MIA on lap one. We were concerned for a bit, but he eventually showed back up letting us know that he had to take an emergency pit stop. He asked for his time to be reduced.
