I’ve been leading run workouts for almost a year now. But I have yet to sign-up for a bootcamp Q—until now.

I’ve become partial to my workouts at Terrapin on Mondays. So, I thought that would be a good place to start.

During the mad dash to sign-up for October Q slots when the pax challenge was announced, I noticed a hole in the Terrapin schedule and contacted the AOQ to see if I could get on the roster. I was added and spent a little time researching my workout on the F3 site.

Aside from needing lessons in counting and cadence (Thanks for the offer Baby Blu), it seems to have gone well. My calves are already sore. So, mission accomplished.

The Thang:

Warm-up:

  • 20 side straddle hops
  • 15 baby arm circles
  • 10 burpees

DORA #1:

  • Partner 1
    • 100 goblet squats
    • 200 merkins
    • 300 curls
  • Partner 2
    • During goblets: bear crawls to the pull-up bars, do five pull-ups, run back, switch
    • During merkins: lunge walk to the bench, do ten dips, run back, switch
    • During curls: crab walk to the pull-up bars, do a 20 sec hang, run back, switch

(Move to the gazebo)

DORA #2:

  • Partner 1
    • 100 overhead presses
    • 200 calf raises
    • 300 LBC’s
  • Partner 2
    • Run to Cambridge, left up the hill to the end of bridge, turn around, return, switch
    • (modified after overhead presses)

It was a great day in the gloom.
