The recruiting efforts the night before by Baby Blu, the Q at Fury, abounded. But, I felt very safe after getting a solid HC from Flossy, Sour, and Dixie Chick. I knew other dedicated men would be there as well…but it’s always nice to “know” you can count on those who HC. In the immortal words of Karl…“Mmmm Hmmm”

 

Dixie Chick was basically waiting on me when I got there. Flossy and Sour… “Mmmm Hmmm”. Maybe next time. In their defense though, I did receive texts later that morning from both, acknowledging their faux pas.

I can’t remember what the temp was like that morning…it was too long ago now.

As the men showed up I asked them to go grab a coupon from the cage to save a little time for more workout. Each pax happily obliged.

At this point YHC had each pax recall their stated number. 1 and 2 together, 3 and 4 together, 5 and 6 together, etc. In numerical order, first two pax would secure the 50lb bucket of rocks and as fast as they can traverse 50 yards down and 50 yards back. Once back, 3 and 4 picked up and did the same thing…this continued until all 10 pax completed the turn. The pax not carrying the bucket completed a cumulating set of workouts, OYO, as follows:

SET 1:

10 Burpees

20 Pull ups

30 Goblet Squats

40 Kettle Bells

60 Curls

SET 2:

60 Flutter Kicks (one leg)

40 Calve Raises

30 LBC

20 Thrusters

10 Burpees

SET 3:

10 Burpees

20 Merkins

30 Squats

40 American Hammers

60 Block Bench Press

Now, just so you understand how this went down. The bucket carrying never really ceased. When two pax finished the 100 yards, the next 2 picked up. This continued until all 3 sets had been completed. Each pax, individually, doing the said number of reps. It turned out that everyone basically carried the bucket 400 yards.

That finished up with about 6/8 minutes to go. YHC decided to implement a

Coupon Carry Relay Race

Each team consisted of 5 pax, lined up adjacent to each other, running West on the track. The beginning 2 pax carried their coupon 50 yards, turning around, reaching their partner, exchanging the coupon, continuing until competition was won by one.

We did this twice. Each team won once (I think), so we each did 5 Burpees.
