Coordination took place the night before so that The Yard would not again be without a shovel flag. YHC picked up the Hustle flag from Jugs at Legion Stadium, and before arriving at The Yard, dropped Fury’s flag off so that the pax there could be represented. So, standing next to the Hustle flag, YHC announced the 1 minute warning. Immediately ALL of the pax began to move in unison towards the practice field. Like well trained puppies hearing a ringing bell, they began to salivate knowing their same old coupon treat was about to be delivered. They knew the time and place and had been through this routine so many times, that some could have been in autopilot still not even fully awake from the nights slumber. A few pax, most notably Kobyashi, noticed this meal may not be like the many served before it. This may be because he has spent the summer touring the country as a one man road show of instagram beer pint pics. 0515……….TIME TO MOVE! YHC had planned on a Coupondimonium workout that was Q’d back in February, but after seeing the heard moving, a curveball was in order. Fast mosey to the schools flag pole where the Hustle flag would finally be planted.

– Sprint to 2nd light pole, then line up and sprint back x2
– Skip there and back x2
– Karaoke there and back
– Strafe there and back
Mosey to the wall of pain on the back corner of the bldg.
Split into teams of 2 (1 team of 3)
– 1 pax wall sits while watching the other pax complete merkins x25
Rinse and Repeat until both pax have performed 50 merkins
Mosey to the back courtyard
– pax 1 – Box Step Ups x25 (1 leg),
– pax 2 – Al Gore’s
Mosey to the bottom of the Concrete Monster
– pax 1 – Runs to the top and completes 5 Burpees
– pax 2 – lunges while waiting for his turn
Once all pax had complete 1 rd, it was time to mosey back to the shovel flag

Prayer Requests
YHC got a little bogged down between the Announcements and the Prayer Requests. A short makeshift devo was delivered on the state of injury and issues that many pax of The Wood are working through. We are a group, a family, that needs to thrive off of supporting our fellow brothers in times of need. Please, please ask another pax how they are doing. They need and want your support!!!!
It is imperative that as Q’s and AOQ’s we continue to push the limits of our leadership, the limits of the pax, and the limits of the AO’s themselves. It is easy to get into a rut of always going to one place to do work, or always performing the same exercises over and over again. Mix it up, try new things! Speaking from first hand experience, some won’t work, but some, most will. It will keep things fresh for you and fresh for the other pax. Nothing is more boring and produces minimal mumblechatter like the same old stale workouts. YHC had a great time pushing the limits with such a fine group of men. See ya in the gloom!
