Ra! Ra! Ra! Best motivational speech never given!

It was a record day at #REDFriday – 7 PAX including 1 FNG! YHC always loves welcoming new PAX to the fold. It was admittedly difficult to have to explain that he was beginning his journey on #REDFriday – Greenwood’s toughest workout. We celebrate heroes and that means it’s time to get down and dirty and give it all you’ve got. There was a game day audible since all the coupons were stolen from our beloved AO on Thursday. No matter. Work was done, boys. Work. Was. Done.

This hero WOD is named after Senior Airman Bradley R. Smith, killed in action Jan. 3, 2010, at Kandahr Airfield. Read about him here.

  • Who EH’s a guy for #REDFRiday? Sour. That’s who. What a friend.
  • Speaking of Sour – he once again claimed he was “really gonna puke this time.” And again left the PAX feeling like a teenage boy left alone after his prom date’s dad shows up at the moment of truth. #Unfulfilled
  • There was a general consensus that the burpees sucked, but pull-ups are where we need to #GetBetter. Had no clue that burpees sucked.
  • While attempting to traverse the “third 500” of the workout (rounds 5-6-7), Sour asked YHC for a motivational speech. Since YHC had just finished up 10 burpees, it went something like this: “Ra Ra Ra! I can’t breathe!” How’s that for motivation, boys!
  • It was fun watching Uncle Jesse’s brain click while trying to figure out how to make a spreadsheet work. #WeaselShaker
  • There was some discord over the audible on the workout for today. But, hey, right now someone is getting better with our coupons. It’s just not the PAX of F3 Greenwood. #Lame
  • “This didn’t sound that hard when you said it.” Yep, he said it… “LooksGoodOnPaper
  • Nipples was very – and I mean very – grateful the #BallOfMan contained more than two PAX. Back run, anyone? #Awkward
